Somehow, I have managed to wade my way through numerous telephone conversations in German in order to schedule three different appointments tomorrow to check out apartments in Lauf…I am hoping that Matt and/or Heather can go along with me so as to take the strain off of me somewhat with the language piece…if I go alone it could be interesting!
…If I like one of them and it fits into my budget, there’s a real possibility that I could have my own place before the end of the week…Craziness!
Nick, I can’t wait to have you here…and am just praying that I have a place prepared for you other than the rotting mattress under the bridge that I walked by the other day. I mean…it was still a pretty nice mattress…just, well, soggy. I will know more after tomorrow, but I am trying my best to trust that everything will work out. It will…it will!
If you are twiddling your thumbs at around 10 or 11am German time tomorrow, maybe you could just say a prayer for me…I have a bad habit of nodding and agreeing when I don’t understand something in German…and when a contract is in the picture…this could be a risky thing…
