It was such a shock that Germany left the field yesterday with a 4-0 win against Argentina under their belts. Carolyn and I watched along with some of our friends at a pretty nice little bar called the Bäckerhof in Nürnberg. We normally like this bar, but for the World Cup, they did something really incredible; they took all of the furniture out of the place, and rolled out real grass. So, we ordered ourselves a drink, settled into the comfy soccer ball beanbags, and watched Germany cruise to another impressive victory!

Germany now plays Spain on Wednesday in what is a rematch of the 2008 European Championship final. It should be another good one!
